PATRICK AND THE WHALE
Die Tier- und Filmwelt ist die seine – Mark Fletcher war beim 20-jährigen Jubiläumsfestival 2021 doppelt vertreten mit Terra Mater Produktionen, und zwar als Drehbuchautor der Naturfilme DAS JAHR DES SCHNEELEOPARDEND und DIE AKTE WAL. 2022 eröffnet er das Innsbruck Nature Film Festival als Regisseur von PATRICK AND THE WHALE – ein opulentes Werk, das mit der packenden Geschichte von Patrick Dykstra und dem Pottwal Dolores in die Tiefe der Meere entführt und das Opening-Publikum begeistern wird.
„Es ist großartig die Wunder unseres Planeten mit so vielen Menschen wie möglich zu teilen. Die Erde und ihre Meere brauchen unsere Aufmerksamkeit.“ sagt Hauptakteur Patrick Dykstra, Meeresforscher, Videofilmer, Ex-Rechtsanwalt. Und die werden sie am Samstag, 15. Oktober 2022, um 19 Uhr zur INFF Eröffnung im Metropolkino in Innsbruck erhalten!

„Patrick and the Whale immerses us in a wonderful, alien world and tells a touching story of a man who follows his dream and finds it in the ocean. A film about a fabulous human-animal relationship that does not hide the drama of the current state of nature, but at the same time manages to give hope. The message of the film could hardly be more important at this time: Humans are not a species separated from the environment, but have always been part of nature – and remain intimately connected to it. A heartwarming documentary with magical moments and incredible images that ends in a beautiful dream.“
